Meet Our Staff
Minister: Dr. Ronald D. Wilson

Rev. Ron Wilson came to Associated Church in January, 2000. His major responsibilities as Senior Minister/Head of Staff are in the areas of Worship, Preaching, Hospital & Emergency Visitation, Congregational Communication and Administrative Leadership.
You may not know that Ron is a native of Kansas, an Eagle Scout, Madrigal Singer, Babe Ruth ball player, member of the National Thespian Society and graduate of Washburn University in Topeka. He received his seminary training at the University of Dubuque and earned his Doctor of Ministry degree at San Francisco Seminary. After ordination in 1972, he served as Director of Student Services at Dubuque Seminary. Since 1977 he has served local congregations as: Minister of Outreach in Jackson, Michigan; Senior Associate for Pastoral Care in Dearborn, Michigan; and Minister/Head of Staff in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Parish Associate: Rev. Jim Oberg

Jim Oberg has been with Associated since March of 2008. As Parish Associate, Jim is responsible for arranging visits with members who are ill or homebound, assisting with worship services, and providing ministerial support where needed.
Parish Nurse: Sandy Greenwood

Sandy has been with the Associated Church since September 2005. As Parish Nurse, Sandy provides support, information, and outreach to members of the congregation who are experiencing a change in their health status. Sandy also serves on the Health Ministry Team.
Office Administrator: Marcia MacDunuogh

Marcia was born and raised in Minnesota. She graduated from John Marshall High School in Rochester and earned her B.A. degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in geography. She has done Human Resources consulting for small companies and has extensive experience working with the public. She held administrative and management positions in Denver and Santa Fe before returning to Minnesota.
Financial Coordinator: Dawn Zimmerman

Dawn Zimmerman has been with Associated since April of 2006. Dawn is in charge of managing Associated’s financial accounts. Dawn prepares bills for payment, manages offering income, and conducts staff payroll. Dawn also serves on the Budget & Finance, Endowment, and Celebration Fund Ministry Teams.
Director of Youth Ministry: Nicole Matejcek
Nicole Matejcek is our Youth Ministry Director for Associated Church. Nicole is no stranger to most members of Associated. She grew up here, was confirmed and married Eric here. While attending Riverland, she was 9th Grade Girls Basketball Coach, Kids First Track Coach, ATTIC Youth Group Leader and Youth Ministry Team member at Associated. She also served on the Steele County Relay for Life Committee. Nicole continues her college studies with a Major in Christian Ministry. Nicole’s ministry is with youth in grades 6-12 through ~ Confirmation Class on Sundays, Religious Education on Tuesdays, ATTIC Youth Group on Wednesdays and a variety of other activities.
Director of Children’s Ministry: Erin Davis
Erin Davis, Children’s Ministry Director, is a 2008 graduate of Luther College (magna cum laude) with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Music. A member of the United Church of Christ, Erin has served the church most recently as Youth Minister for the Salem Lutheran and Lyndale UCC in Minneapolis. After college she worked for Augsburg Fortress Publishing as Assistant Resource Developer for Congregational Life and Learning. Among her many accomplishments Erin has developed children’s curriculum for the Rotation Model which we use at Associated. Each summer during college she was the waterfront director at Pilgrim Point, the UCC camp in Alexandria, MN working with children, youth and adults. Erin leads our ministry with children birth through grade 6, including Kids’ Klub Wednesdays at 5:00 PM and Church School Sundays at 10:15 AM.
Child Caregiver: Kathy Miller
Kathy Miller has been with Associated since September of 2003. Kathy is responsible for providing a safe and welcoming environment for young children in our church nursery. Kathy is available during Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.
MUSIC DIRECTOR:
Nikki Gieseke is Music Director for Associated Church. In addition to overseeing our overall music ministry, Nikki directs the Associated Choir, Youth Choir, Children’s Choir and Handbells. Before coming to Associated Nikki was Music Director to the Congregational United Church of Christ in Faribault. She majored in music at Drake University in Des Moines, IA. Cornerstone Director: Sue Leithold Bowcock
Sue Leithold Bowcock has been with Associated since January of 1991. Sue is in charge of directing the Cornerstone Adult Choir and sharing their music during Sunday Services.
Organist: Judy Thon-Jones
Judy Thon-Jones has been with Associated since 1987. Judy is in charge of selecting organ and piano pieces for Sunday Services as well as providing organ and piano accompaniment for hymns and special music during the services.
Accompanist: Bev Cashman
Bev Cashman has been with Associated since October of 2004. Bev is responsible for providing piano accompaniment for many of Associated’s choirs.
Custodian: Tom Schmidt
Our Custodian is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and setup of the Church Building. They are also in charge of grounds, HVAC, floor, and electrical maintenance.
