As our Core Values describe who we are, we are people who love God and follow Jesus. Our following Jesus involves us in our communities and world through mission and acts of justice. Each of the mission activities our congregation participates in is linked with a Ministry Team.

FMSC Owatonna Mobile Pack:

October 13 & 14 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna

The Owatonna Mobile Pack for Feed My Starving Children will be held Friday & Saturday, October 13 & 14 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna. Associated Church members can participate with donations of money, by volunteering that weekend, and by prayer for the success of the pack and for those in need of the food we will provide. More Missions of Associated Church:

  • Steele County Detention Center: Bring new or used books to the church office at any time during the year and place in the collection box. Hard and soft covered books, paperback books, children’s books, puzzles, games, and art supplies are brought to the Steele County Detention Center and enjoyed by the prisoners and their families (please do not donate magazines).
  • Sunday Morning Worship Service Offerings
  • Owatonna Mobile Meals: Drivers for eight delivery routes are needed to deliver noon meals throughout Owatonna on specific days of specific months (all Wednesdays in February and March, all Thursdays in July, and all Tuesdays in August and November). The average number of meals to deliver is seven per route (as few as four and as many as nine). Time commitment for each route: 1.5 hours beginning at 10:30 am. Meals are picked up at Senior Place. Associated Church people have been part of mobile meal deliveries since 1973 (when it began).
  • Feed My Starving Children
  • Steele County Winter Coat Collection: Bring no longer used and clean winter apparel to the collection box in the church entry area during October. Received donations are brought to the Clothesline in early November (Clothesline is a Steele County agency that provides free clothing to county residents in need or in crisis). The church box collects mittens and gloves, caps, snow pants and boots, scarves, sweaters, and winter coats (all sizes, infants to adults).
