Become an Adult Ministry team member
The mission of the Adult Ministry team is to provide hospitality and spiritual fellowship among the congregation by promoting gatherings to share the life-long process of teaching, learning and living the Christian Faith, of translating teachings into life experiences that reflect an individual’s direct relationship with God through Christ. As part of its mission, the team organizes Sunday coffee fellowship (Jave, Juice & Joy), Second Sunday brunch (Sept.-April), Suppers for 7 and a June all-church picnic fellowship. The teams fellowship umbrella also includes:
Friendship ministry
Volunteer to visit, write notes or send cards to members not able to attend church and to honor significant birthdays.
Suppers for 7
Small group social gatherings in home, restaurant or fellowship hall, organized 2 or 3 times per year.
Health Ministry
Parish nurse and ministry members foster healthy lifestyles, blood pressure checks, healthy foods, organize a of Table of Plenty to share garden produce & flowers in the late summer.
A-Men
Men’s group meets for breakfast at 8 a.m., first Saturday of the month, October to April. Share fellowship and discussion with often a dvd presentation.
Conversations in Faith
Discussion and learning about spiritual practices, local, national and international social justice issues, deepen understanding of scriptures, Meets following Sunday worship in Community Room.
O.P.A.L.S.
An acronym for Older People with Active Lifestyles invites folks of any age to meet at noon the second Wednesdays September-May, featuring a catered lunch, fellowship & programs.
Keeping You in Stitches
Social fellowship of those who enjoy handiwork, stitchery, hand-made card meeting at 6:30 p.m., second Sunday October-April.
Women’s Retreats
Organized as inspired to discuss relevant topics or workshops of special interest.
Historians
Open to any members helping to preserve and organize church records dating back to 1857.
